They know how to celebrate Yorkshire Day at Oakwell Hall...

A FREE festival is due to be held at Oakwell Hall Country Park in Birstall next month to mark Yorkshire Day.
Brass bands, longsword dancing and stalls packed with homegrown produce will be on show from 11am to 4pm on Sunday August 1.
Pies, cheeses, jams and chutneys, cakes, handmade bags and jewellery, flower displays and prints will be on offer.
The Shepley Brass Band and longsword dancers, the Kirkburton Rapiers, will be there while farm animals and equipment will also be on display.
A Yorkshire quiz trail, the star prize being a Yorkshire hamper, is to take in some of the country park’s grounds.
There will also be activities including welly wanging, flat cap flinging and displays featuring the Huddersfield Beekeepers’ Association.
Dewsbury and Batley town crier Laurie Gilbert will also be making himself heard, encouraging people to pledge allegiance to the Yorkshire flag.
The Friends of Oakwell and the Embroiderers’ Guild will be running activities and demonstrations inside the hall.
Entry to the event, based around the visitor centre, is free but normal hall admission charges of adults £2, children £1 and families £5 will apply.
