New chief exec for Kirklees...

The man charged with slashing spending at Kirklees Council has been appointed its new chief executive - on £150,000 a year.
Adrian Lythgo, 47, joined the council as finance director last year and took on responsibility for cutting the council’s budget by 25 per cent. Up to 1,500 jobs will go.
Mr Lythgo, a father-of-two who has lived in Kirklees for the last eight years, was an associate partner at accountancy firm KPMG and also worked for the Audit Commission.
Previous chief executive Rob Vincent was head-hunted by the Government for troubled Doncaster Council.
Mr Lythgo, whose position will be confirmed next week, will be paid between £150,000 and £160,000 a year.
