Lottery millionaires in marriage pledge...

A MIRFIELD couple who scooped a lottery jackpot of more than £1 million are planning to renew their marriage vows.
Susan and Michael Crossland won £1.2m in July 2008 and have since devoted their lives to charity and good causes.
This time, instead of presents, the couple are asking wedding guests to donate to a cause close to their hearts, the Hollybank Trust for disabled young people in Mirfield.
Mum-of-four Susan, 46, formerly of Ravensthorpe, is a full-time carer to two sisters and a brother who have learning difficulties.
Susan, a foster carer, is also a voluntary worker at Hollybank.
The couple will renew their vows at a local church in October but the happy event will also be tinged with sadness. Both of Susan’s parents have passed away.
Dad Barrie, who walked her down  the aisle in 1994, died four years ago from cancer while mum Shirley died last year.
Susan said the couple were looking forward to their second big day and added: “We’d been saying for years we’d renew our wedding vows and now we’ve finally got round to it.
“Obviously we don’t need any money for gifts so instead we are asking people to make a donation to Hollybank. They do a fantastic job.”
Susan won a share of the lottery jackpot just days before the second anniversary of her father’s death.
She believes her win came in a ‘message’ from her late father.
White feathers – said to be the calling cards of angels – began appearing in the garden of her Ravensthorpe home.
She took that to be a sign from her father and switched one of her weekly lines to include her father’s usual numbers. It was that line which won £1,218,618.
