Martin Shaw - Editor/Director
Batley-born Martin started out as a trainee reporter at the Batley News aged 18 in 1986 and spent three years there before moving to become a senior news reporter at the Yorkshire Evening Post, covering North Kirklees from an office in Dewsbury. In 1994 Martin left to become a freelance journalist, based in Dewsbury. A year later he took over a long-established news and sports agency, West Riding News & Sports Service, which supplies news, football and rugby league coverage to national and local newspapers. Martin teamed up with Danny Lockwood in February 2002 to become one of the founding directors of The Press.
